My Ultra Glowy Nighttime Skincare Regimen for Acne-Prone Skin

My Ultra Glowy Nighttime Skincare Regimen for Acne-Prone Skin

Things are changing with my skin, and it’s just so great that I have to share it with you all.

I’ve dealt with adult acne for a few years, primarily hormonal breakouts along my jawline. I’ve tried everything possible, and while it helped, my skin has been looking dull lately. Many acne treatments tend to be drying, and I wasn’t focusing enough on moisturizing. People with acne often shy away from oils and moisturizing products, including me, but not anymore.

Here’s the deal: when your skin is super dry, your body tries to compensate by producing more oil to hydrate it, which can lead to pimples. Keeping your skin well-moisturized can actually reduce acne, and I’m living proof of that.

Plus, my friend introduced me to @namvo on Instagram, and now I aspire to achieve that “dewy dumpling” look. I’ve also updated my makeup routine to maintain that dewy look, but that’s a story for another day. Today, let’s talk about my nightly skincare routine!

1. **Eminence Organics Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating Mist**
I’m a huge fan of Eminence for their clean ingredients, and their Neroli Hydrating Mist is amazing. Picture an upgraded version of Evian spray with added moisture, dew, and anti-aging benefits. I spray it multiple times a day—before and after makeup, right after washing off makeup, and after my nighttime skincare routine. It tightens the skin, protects against free radicals, boosts collagen, reduces wrinkles, and the Neroli oil plus coconut milk provide fantastic hydration.

2. **Ole Henriksen Vitamin C Truth Serum**
This serum is like a daily vitamin for my skin. Vitamin C is crucial for boosting collagen, and it brightens my skin like you wouldn’t believe. It’s super hydrating, and my skin absorbs it, leaving me glowing. I apply it at night after the mist and before heavier lotions. I also use it before makeup for an instant glow-up.

3. **Ole Henriksen Goodnight Glow Retin-ALT Sleep Crème**
This product is incredible and worth every penny. If you had to pick one item from my list, make it this crème! A friend gave it to me after I complained about acne and how retin-a was too harsh for my skin. This plant-based retinol alternative works wonders, helping my skin heal while sleeping. It’s a gentle exfoliant that moisturizes, making me wake up refreshed.

4. **Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème**
I’m a big fan of Ole Henriksen, and their Banana Bright Eye Crème had been hyped up so much that I had to try it. I’ve struggled with dark circles since I was a kid, and this eye cream is my favorite. Makeup artists love “banana powder” for color correcting, and this eye cream uses that concept to mask dark circles. It plumps my undereye with moisture, making shadows appear lighter. I use it at night for a vitamin boost and before makeup for brightness and priming.

5. **High Beauty ‘High Expectations’ Cannabis Facial Oil & ‘High Five’ Cannabis Facial Moisturizer**
These two products are my new favorite duo. They contain high levels of cannabis sativa seed oil (not THC, so they won’t get you high!) and are great at moisturizing without feeling heavy. The seed oil is packed with antioxidants and clean ingredients like red grape, broccoli, and cumin, creating a fantastic moisture combo. I use them before bedtime, and the moisturizer’s texture is lovely. The oil absorbs well and leaves my skin looking well-hydrated.

6. **Y Facial Roller**
I recently got this facial roller from Amazon, and it’s my favorite one. It gets super cold in the freezer and fits the contours of my face perfectly. It feels great and helps contour my face while aiding product absorption and providing lymphatic drainage before bed.

After completing my routine, I spritz on one more layer of the Eminence Neroli Hydrating Mist and head to bed, excited to see how much better my skin will look the next day!
