Create Your Own Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Highlighter Alternative for Less Than $10!

I’m really drawn to a product with a catchy name, and “Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter” certainly grabbed my attention. I already have plenty of powder highlighters and didn’t really need to spend $50 on another one, but the idea of a liquid highlighter was appealing.

I had Dew Drops in my online cart several times, but the high price always stopped me from buying it. So, I turned to Amazon and found a cheaper liquid highlighter. Although it didn’t have a tempting name or many reviews, and it lacked the coconut gel component, it was the only affordable option I found.

When it arrived, I was disappointed. It was thick and chunky, not the glowing, goddess-like result I imagined Dew Drops would give me. So, it stayed untouched on my shelf for months.

Last week, I found myself thinking about Dew Drops again. You’d think I’d just buy it by now, but I didn’t—and I’m so grateful because I suddenly had a brilliant idea.

I’ve got a super simple hack to share with you all: my DIY version of Marc Jacobs Dew Drops!

All you need is that thick, chunky $10 liquid highlighter and a skin oil you already have, like jojoba, CBD, rose, almond, or hemp. Just avoid coconut oil, as it can clog your pores and lead to breakouts.

I chose my CBD facial oil and added six drops to the highlighter. After shaking it up and testing, I added one more drop to make it even more liquid. It quickly became my favorite highlighter. I dab it on my cheekbones, nose bridge, and cupid’s bow and sometimes mix a drop with my foundation for extra glow.

Just a tip: start with a few drops of oil and gradually increase! I haven’t actually tried Dew Drops myself, but after scouring Google for swatches, it looks like a spot-on match to me. If you dream of that Kardashian/Jenner glow, spend the $10—you won’t be disappointed.
