I’m super nervous about our trip in three days! Traveling is really stressful for me, especially now after losing Bitzy. But I think getting away will be a good distraction and a welcome change from this quiet house. Hopefully, I can have some fun and work through my grief. We’ve got an amazing trip planned!
I’ve been buying tons of travel stuff on Amazon (because, let’s be honest, Amazon is awesome) and wanted to share some of my favorite finds. I’m an Amazon addict, so this isn’t everything I bought – that would be overwhelming! Plus, grief and online shopping…it’s a bad combination.
If you’re planning a trip, check out my Amazon Travel Idea List for the full list of my must-haves. I’ll add anything else I buy in the next few days.
Here are my top 10 travel accessories from Amazon:
1. **Packing Cubes:** I’m a terrible packer, but I’m excited to try these. Everyone raves about them, and I know I’ll overpack, so hopefully, these will help me stay organized and save space.
2. **Universal Power Adapter:** I needed an upgrade. My old ones are huge! This one is compact and works in the US, UK, EU, and Australia. Best part? It has USB slots – one less thing to worry about!
3. **Silicone Toothbrush Cover:** Seriously, if you don’t have one of these for travel, get one! Wrapping your toothbrush in toilet paper isn’t cutting it.
4. **Space-Saving Airplane Pillow:** This is apparently the new hotness. There are pricey versions, but Amazon has great dupes. It looks like a neck brace, but it’s surprisingly comfy! And so much better than a bulky neck pillow taking up space in my carry-on.
5. **Hanging Toiletry Bag:** A must-have for hotel stays. Makes life so much easier. Lots of options are available, but I like this one because the bottles stand upright.
6. **Travel Jewelry Case:** Packing jewelry is always a nightmare. My necklaces always get tangled. This year, I want to wear my necklaces, so this case will be a lifesaver.
7. **Portable Battery:** This is the best portable battery ever. You NEED one for travel. The last thing you want is a dead phone in a foreign country. I actually have three, just in case.
8. **Passport Case:** Okay, it’s a little frivolous, but a nice passport cover looks good in travel photos. This leather one also blocks RFID, which is perfect because I use it as a wallet at the airport.
9. **Waterproof Floating iPhone Case:** The one I initially bought had terrible reviews, so I got this one instead. It seems much better and it even floats!
10. **Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones:** My friend recommended Bose, but they were $250! I found these, and many people say they’re just as good as the expensive ones. Perfect for blocking out airplane noise and calming my anxiety.
