A Nostalgic Y2K Bachelorette Weekend: Highlights and Video Diary!

A Nostalgic Y2K Bachelorette Weekend: Highlights and Video Diary!

It’s been two weeks since my Bachelorette weekend, and I’m finally feeling back to normal. It wasn’t just the lingering hangover; I also experienced a bit of post-Bachelorette blues. It’s strange to spend months planning something that wraps up in just three days. It might be a preview of how quickly the wedding will pass, which is already making me a bit sad. It’s a good reminder to stay present in the moment.

And I was definitely in the moment all weekend during BACHINLUSH. It was the best weekend ever, thanks to my amazing friends who went above and beyond for me. It will always be one of my favorite memories. Having attended many Bachelorette parties before, it was exciting that it was finally my turn, and my expectations were completely surpassed.

I managed to vlog most of the weekend, which is impressive because I usually forget about everything else when I’m having fun. I’m glad I can share this epic weekend with everyone.

The vibes were perfect, and my friends couldn’t have planned a more “me” weekend. Since I’m super nostalgic about the early 2000s, we went with a Y2K theme, and it was iconic. Here’s a breakdown of the details, our weekend schedule, the props we used, and some of the outfits I wore.

**BACHINLUSH WEEKEND SCHEDULE:**

**Friday:** The girls arrived throughout the day, and we relaxed by the pool with cocktails. My friend Marchelle cooked a delicious dinner, and then we went to a private drag show in Palm Springs. It was a blast, and let’s just say I had a few too many shots.

**Saturday:** We planned a picnic and a Y2K-themed sleepover. After some much-needed hydration, we enjoyed Lauryn’s amazing micheladas and breakfast by the pool. Picnic Collective set up the cutest picnic with champagne in teacups, croissants, cheese plates, and more. It was like a dream tea party.

My friends also set up a lingerie tree, where everyone bought me lingerie, and I had to guess who gave me what. It was fun and spicy, and I got some cute options for the wedding night and honeymoon.

Torrie, my unofficial maid of honor, surprised me with an airbrush artist, Mr. Hoodbrush. I had mentioned wanting one, and she made it happen. We all got t-shirts airbrushed, and mine said “sk8er boi.”

That night, we planned to bedazzle velour sweatsuits and have a Y2K movie night, but I forgot the projector. Instead, we sipped wine, talked, and did personality tests. It was low-key and special, a rare moment with my friends.

**Sunday:** The final day included more micheladas, a bagel brunch, and pool time before saying our goodbyes. My college roommate Leslie and I squeezed in some vintage shopping at the Palm Springs Vintage Market before heading home.

We had such an amazing time that we’re considering a girls’ trip every 2-5 years. It might not happen as time goes on, but it’s a fabulous idea in theory. Thanks for joining along!
