This year, I’ve decided to cut back on wearing sunglasses because I’ve gotten some flak over how often they appear in my photos. I’ve been doing alright with it, but I just feel like a cool pair of shades completes my outfit.
That said, I really enjoy buying sunglasses, but I can’t justify spending a ton on designer pairs when so many brands offer similar styles for way less. I just can’t see dropping $400 on sunglasses. Honestly, I bought more designer shades back in high school (my paycheck from the donut shop went to sunglasses and Frankie B’s) than I have in the past few years. Sunglass styles change so often, and you really want to keep up without breaking the bank.
So, here are some of my favorite sunglasses right now, including a few under $20 from Amazon (you know I love finding a bargain there!).
**The Sunglass Edit of the Moment (All Under $70!)**
1. **Quay x Desi Perkins ‘Don’t @ Me’** – These black sunglasses are perfect for everyday wear. The classic black with an updated cat eye gives any look that cool factor.
2. **Monarch Tokyo ‘Papillon’** – I’m obsessed with these, channeling all those 90’s grunge vibes. They go perfectly with a graphic tee, leather skinnies, and some funky ankle boots. I got the cherry red, but they come in many colors.
3. **Quay x Desi Perkins High Key Mini** – These are the only aviators you need. The High Key Mini is the perfect size and they look great on every face.
4. **Monarch Tokyo ‘Neo’ Small Frames** – I’m loving the small sunglass trend for spring, so I picked up these fresh white ones. They suit an all-white ensemble or pair well with an oversized t-shirt dress and a bomber jacket.
5. **Shady Lady ‘Hayley’ Oversized Cat Eyes** – These are my go-tos when I want to skip eye makeup but still look fab (also perfect for hangovers). They cover half of your face and give off serious Rachel Zoe vibes.
6. **Black Rimless Shield Sunglasses** – I’m into the shield trend and love a sleek black pair of sunnies (plus, they’re rimless!). These from Amazon are high quality, get plenty of compliments, and are just $17!
7. **Shady Lady ‘Kendall’ Small Oval Sunnies** – I’m assuming these are inspired by Kendall Jenner, because she rocks this trend. I love anything 90’s and am obsessed with these small oval shades. They remind me of the Olsen twins circa “When in Rome.”
8. **Rainbow Mirror Lens Shield Sunglasses** – Last year in Copenhagen, I saw these in the Acne Archive store for $300. I almost bought them but decided against it. Later, I found the exact same pair on Amazon for $13. What a steal!
