I’m completely obsessed with my dogs, Bitzy and Ruby. They’re my best friends, and I prioritize spending time with them. Bitzy’s an older Yorkie, and Ruby’s a young Frenchie. My goal is to always have them with me, so we have backpacks for them, and I’m even considering a stroller (my partner’s not thrilled, but Bitzy deserves pampering!). We only go to dog-friendly places. I’m honestly annoyed by places that don’t allow dogs – it’s just bad vibes.
Here are some of my favorite dog-friendly spots in San Diego:
The Pendry Hotel is amazing. It’s stylish, dog-friendly (no extra fees!), provides dog beds, and even has a champagne vending machine! The Manchester Grand Hyatt is another great dog-friendly option.
The Patio on Goldfinch is our go-to for delicious food and a fun dog-friendly patio. The staff is super friendly and gives dogs water and treats. They have great food, amazing happy hour deals, and multiple locations.
Liberty Public Market in Point Loma is fantastic. It’s a huge market with lots of food options, a pet shop, and even a dog park nearby. We love getting food and enjoying it outside with the dogs.
Civita Dog Park is our favorite dog park. It’s new, spacious, has a separate area for small dogs, and a fun obstacle course. It’s got a great community feel.
Culture Brewing Co. in Solana Beach is a bit of a drive, but worth it for the great beer, dog-friendly atmosphere, and dog treats! They also host dog-focused events.
