Let’s be clear—I am 100% Jewish. I had a Bat Mitzvah, love a good lox and bagel, spent many Sundays enjoying apples with honey, and have always loved Hanukkah. While I’m not super religious, I’m really proud of my Jewish roots.
Growing up, I watched friends’ families put up stunning Christmas trees, and I dreamt of merging both worlds. Honestly, who wouldn’t want eight days of gifts followed by a tree with even more presents? When I met Zack, we spent our first Christmas together, and I got him our first tree, which I called a Hanukkah Bush. It was a little Charlie Brown-style tree, and I made my own ornaments. It was cute for a first tree, but nothing compared to what I created this year.
After putting away the menorah, I got to work on the tree, and it turned out to be incredibly chic. It’s all white, twinkling with crystals and disco balls—the most aesthetic tree you’ve ever laid eyes on. The best part is, I ordered everything from Amazon! Even though I’m trying to improve my domestic skills, with Prime, there’s no need to step outside.
Here’s what’s on my sparkling white, ultra-chic Christmas tree, in case you’re still decorating or want to plan for next year:
– **White Faux Christmas Tree:** I used a real tree once and vowed never again—cleaning up needles was a nightmare. A faux tree is much easier, and I’ll be using this white one repeatedly. Green doesn’t match my home decor or Instagram feed, so our 7-foot white tree is perfect.
– **Fairy Lights:** Forget regular Christmas lights—fairy lights are daintier, prettier, and easier to wrap around the tree.
– **Crystal Chandelier Strands:** To make the tree sparkle, I used crystal chandelier strands instead of traditional ornaments. They’re more affordable and add extra shine.
– **Sparkly Rhinestone Trim:** Not your typical decoration, but I love adding chic rhinestone details. Our 7-foot tree needed two rolls to drape beautifully.
– **Disco Ball Ornaments:** For the second year, I bought these disco ball ornaments to achieve the Studio 54 vibe I want. This year’s tree was larger, so I needed an additional pack.
– **Sparkly White Ornaments:** To fill up the tree, I chose simple white glittery balls. They’re super durable—our pet knocks them off all the time, and none have broken.
– **Special Ornaments:** Zack and I surprise each other annually with special ornaments. Most are white, featuring gold-dipped antlers and fuzzy creatures. Our unique Bitzy Yorkie ornament isn’t pictured, but it’s a favorite.
– **White Glitter Star Tree Topper:** I prefer simple tree toppers, so I went with a white glittery star. A black topper would’ve been ideal, but I couldn’t find one.
– **White Faux Fur Tree Skirt:** I typically use a shaggy rug, but this year, I upgraded to a tree skirt. It’ll look amazing once all the black-wrapped presents are underneath—I’m still working on that part.
